barenaked ladies - history of everything

( as you may have recognized, this is the theme song of the big bang theory; i didn't know myself that it is actually a complete song, i always thought it is just a theme created just for the show; whatever, in two days i will write my last asronomy exam ever in my life, what made me think of the song; somehow, sitting in class and listening to all this scientific stuff we learn, i feel almost the same as watching the big bang theory, because i basically don't understand anything; however, i will somehow miss this subject, because it's my last scientific subject -except for biology and chemistry- i got in school and with all the maths it contained it always challenged me in a special way )

houseboats

( these are some pictures i took in paris last saturday; there are quite a lot houseboats on the banks of the seine; i really liked the idea of living on one of them, especially because one could live literally wherever he wants to, so i dedicated this post to them )

( this video mural was created by the video artist marco brambilla in 2008 for the new standard hotel in nyc.

the technique is called a “video tableau”, a moving painting with more than 300 individual channels of looped video blended into an expansive landscape that continuously scrolls upward and slowly reveals itself to the viewer, from the depths of hell to the gates of heaven. essentially, it illustrates a contemporary, satirical take on the concepts of eternal punishment and celestial reward.
also, it appears to me that the music, which sounds quite disturbing, is from igor stravinsky's "the rite of spring", called "le sacre de printemps" in french )

( that picture was taken in germany, not in britain or anywhere, i was a bit surprised myself when i saw the postbox in a small village not far away from my hometown )

( these pictures were actually taken in the church of the annunciation in nazareth, which was designed by the italian architect giovanni muzio. i really liked the usage of raw concrete when i visited the church this year in february.. )
