( the chruch tower of the church of the holy spirit, 'heilig-geist-kirche' in mannheim.

the neo-gothic church was built between 1898 and 1903 according to the plans of ludwig maier.)

( i found this awesome song doing a russia-mixtape for a friend. the singer's name is zhanna aguzarova, whose irreverent style and eccentricity made a symbol of individuality and dissent. aguzarova was insolent in the face of the oppressive regime, but her voice, full of longing and romanticism, thrilled millions of fans. )

( i found them all last summer in kazimierz, a quarter of cracow, which was home to a jewish community from the fourteenth century until the second world war, and which is now a pretty cool lifestyle quarter with lots of bars and restaurants.. )
